Two Drones Target Iraqi Military Installation Near Baghdad

(MENAFN) In the early hours of Tuesday, the Iraqi armed forces reported that two unknown drones targeted a military installation north of Baghdad, resulting in no injuries.

Major General Saad Maan, spokesperson for the Security Media Cell connected to the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, informed reporters via a voice message that "An unidentified drone targeted a radar in the Taji military base, and another landed near a generator in the same area, and there are no human casualties."

Lieutenant General Walid al-Tamimi, who leads Baghdad Operations, also verified the incident to the official a local news agency.

This drone strike occurs amid growing regional instability, influenced by the ongoing Israeli-Iranian conflict and the recent surge in tensions following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
